Drawdown is calculated at end of day based on account balance. Unrealized profits during the day don't count against your limit. Much more forgiving for intraday traders. Lucid Trading, Topstep, UProfit, Bulenox and The5ers Futures use EOD.
⚠️ TRAILING DRAWDOWN (HARDER)
Drawdown follows your highest peak balance. If your account goes up $2K then falls, your drawdown limit moves up too. Once you lose from peak, you can quickly breach. Some firms use this model — always check the exact drawdown type before you buy.
